OUR WORK ETHIC....

Nail technicians have the right to refuse service to any client If a nail professional determines that a client should be seen by a doctor or chiropodist before being serviced. Nail technicians are not required to tolerate abusive, aggressive, offensive, dishonest, or inconsiderate clients. When necessary, a nail professional has the right to release a client.

24hr Cancellation notice

Your appointments are very important to us, it is reserved especially for you, we understand that  sometimes
adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.

Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment  without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that  appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity  to receive services.

"No Shows" or Late Cancellations

Late cancellations (less than 24hrs notice given) means that we can not fill the time slot that has been specifically allocated for you. We kindly ask for a 24hrs notice period so that we can fill the time slot with other clients wanting to book in for treatments.

Late for your appointment

Please be aware that arriving late will mean you will lose some of your treatment time, as often we can’t push your appointment back more than 10 minutes as our therapists will be booked with their next client. Scheduled appointments have a 10 minute grace period to allow for traffic delays or parking difficulties.  If you anticipate that you will be later than 10 minutes, please call ahead to see if there is availability to complete your service in full. One late client can throw off an entire schedule and cause other clients to be late for their commitments. Therefore, if you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we reserve the right to refuse partial or complete services.

Deposits (Treatments more than 2hrs)

Please note that if you are booking a treatment for more than 2 hours, we may ask for a small deposit.

UNDER 16......

I do not service under 16 unless accompanied by an adult, acrylics and gel polish treatments, I advise an age of Sixteen is okay WITH parents/adult consent and signature. All minors’ wishing to have treatments need to have written/signed consent from a parent or guardian, stating that they are happy for the treatment to go ahead. Although it is not law to have a responsible adult present when carrying out treatments. it is highly advisable.

Some parents/guardians are happy to have the treatment go ahead without them being present, I strongly insist that an appropriate adult is present throughout the treatment especially if they are under the age of 16. This ensures that they are witnessing my actions at all times.

As there is no legal minimum age at which a person can receive treatments, however as a therapist I have a duty of care which means practising in accordance to a number of Government Guidelines and Acts that are concerned with the welfare and safety of children.

If I believe that a treatment is unethical,  inappropriate or potentially unsafe for somebody under the age of 16 then I have the right to NOT perform treatments on the client.

REFUNDS.....

Refunds If you are not happy with your nails, please make me aware of it before you pay. I will adjust them to your satisfaction or remove any enhancements or coatings that have been applied.
Absolutely no cash refunds will be given after you have left

Skin Testing Policy

With our clients safety and comfort at the forefront of everything we do, we have strict polices in place prior to certain treatments we carry out to ensure we follow brand set guidelines and offer the very best service we can.

  • Patch tests carried out at other establishments are not valid.

  • Treatments for 16’s and under are not permitted without Parent/Guardian consent

  • We cannot carry out treatments that require skin tests such as Tinting or Eyelash Extensions on anyone aged 16 or under, pregnant or breastfeeding.

Lash Extensions Patch Testing Policy

We use a variety of glues from our branded high quality lash suppliers and depending on what lashes you are booked in for will determine what glues we test with.

  • If a reaction should occur within 48 hours, this could be in the form of redness, itching, swelling or similar. Immediately rinse the area where tested and seek advice from a GP or pharmacist. Even if only a slight reaction occurs, we will not be able to carry out this treatment.

  • Please notify us immediately should a reaction occur so we can make a full record on your client record card.

  • Please be aware that if you are taking antihistamines or other medications, they can mask a reaction during the patch test but may not be strong enough to counter a full reaction after the treatment which is an increased risk. If you are concerned you may decide not to have this treatment.

Tinting Patch Testing Policy

A tint test must be carried out a minimum of 24 hours before any Lash or Brow tinting

** The cancellation policy allows us the time to inform our standby guests  of any availability, as well as keeping our scheduled filled, thus better serving everyone. Scratch Divas Manchester policies are  presented and provided in the best quality and tradition of excellent servicing for our established and future clientele **
